Shorni is a freelance dancer with a clear focus on hip-hop freestyle. She began her professional dance career in 2020 with a hip-hop dance instructor training course, where she comprehensively studied the fundamentals of urban dance styles. She then continued her training at the Flow Dance Academy in Paris, where she learned from renowned dancers from the urban scene. In addition to hip-hop freestyle, she also incorporates elements of house and waving into her movement language. Shorni is part of the Compound Company in Aachen and participated in the dance production Embrace, which was created under the artistic direction of Yvonne Eibig. She regularly gains battle experience – also internationally – and brings her versatility and energy to a wide variety of urban formats. In her most recent work, she was part of the "more footwork, more energy" residency at the Theater Oberhausen, where she participated as a dancer and co-choreographer. In Talking Streets she takes on roles as a dancer and performer and supports the project with ideas and movement input.
